Who we are. Find Your Dinner runs the dinner finder at findyourdinner.com and on our partner food blogs. Questions or requests: hello@findyourdinner.com.
If you use the dinner finder
The dinner finder runs on findyourdinner.com and also inside a small widget on our partner bloggers' sites. Even when you see it on a blogger's site, it's run by us, and the information below comes to us, not to the blogger.
We don't ask for your name or email and we don't use cookies. To understand how the tool is used, we record these events: opening the tool, searching, and clicking a recipe (or a promo block). For each one we store:
- the type of event
- which blogger's site it happened on
- the recipe clicked, if any
- how many results a search found
- the time
- your device type (mobile, tablet or desktop)
- a temporary random session ID that's kept only in the open page and disappears when you close or reload it
We don't use cookies. The recipe finder temporarily saves your search in your browser's session storage so it comes back when you press the back button. It's deleted when you close the tab.
We never store your IP address. To limit how many searches can be made and to block spam, your connection is turned into a scrambled code that changes every minute and can't be turned back into your address.
Raw event records are deleted after 90 days. After that we keep only daily totals, which say nothing about any one visitor.
The ingredients, time and diet choices you search for are sent to our AI provider to write the short note on each recipe. They aren't linked to you.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard connection logs (which can include IP addresses) to run and protect its service.
Why we're allowed to do this: our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the tool is used, so we can improve it and keep it working.
If you're a blogger who contacts us
When you request an invite or sign up, we store what you type in the form (such as your name, email, blog details and audience size) and any images you upload, so we can review your request and set up your dinner finder. Only our admin can see them. We keep them while we work together, and delete them on request.
Who helps us
Our hosting and database are provided by Lovable Cloud and its infrastructure partners (including Supabase and Cloudflare). The AI recipe notes are made through the Lovable AI Gateway. We don't sell your information or use advertising pixels.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. We use your details because it's needed to answer your request or because we have a legitimate interest in running and protecting the service. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
